Loved the poison ivy video. Will pass along to my kids and extended families. Thank you!
That post was awesome! I seem to get poison ivy every year!! Now I know how to wash better. I was never using a washcloth. Thanks for the great advice.
If you wash an oil spot and then wash elsewhere, are you transferring urushiol to other areas? Do you then throw the cloth away?
Thank You
for the information and the
video !
Thanks for that information.
How do you protect yourself against spider bites at night
Good info. If by chance you didn’t get the oil off in time, blend fresh garlic cloves in h2o and rub the water on the rash. Works great for bug bites and stings too.

Thank You!!! As a poison”yuck” sufferer, this is sooo good to know. I want to share it on FB but don’t see a link…still looking. Again, thank you! BTW do you throw away the washcloth?
cleaning is necessary but the best thing you can use, even if you get a rash, is jewel weed. You can almost always find it growing near poison ivy. usually on the edge of a wetland. google it and you can learn how to recognize it. it actually works by neutralizing the oil from the poison ivy.
If you have five leaf ivy growing close by, take the leaves from the five leaf and crush them as you rub them on the area that touched the three leaf.
