In the latest bombing in Europe, a blast that rocked St. Petersburg, Russia today has killed 11 so far, and injured dozens more. One bomb detonated aboard a crowded metro train in Russia’s second largest city on Monday, and a second, far more powerful bomb, was thankfully diffused a few stations away.
Putin has confirmed that the bombing is officially being investigated as a terrorist attack, and it seems to have quickly begun to be referred to as such by major media outlets. Police have announced they are looking for a suspect caught in CCTV cameras moments before the attack.
This report from RT shares more details of what is known at this time from St. Petersburg.
